Robertson misspelled my last name in an e-mail
Should he sent out a correction e-mail to everyone or is it one of those things no one really cares about?You would never send out a group e-mail to people and copy your source and spell there name wrong, but this setting is more personal so other rules apply. However, this is the 3rd semester in a row I've have with Robertson and you'd think he'd know it by now! :P

Well, Dr. Robertson IS always telling us to treat him like our editor. If an editor got the name of one of his reporters wrong in the real world – in a mass e-mail he sent out to his colleagues, no less – it wouldn’t reflect very well on his professionalism, now would it? (People might begin to suspect he doesn’t read his own paper … )
Ethically speaking, grammatical errors such as this one lead others to believe the writer didn’t care very much about his subject matter. (That’s kind of sad when you happen to be his subject matter.) Furthermore, it could lead to confusion among the readers. Let’s say there really was a “Brouse” in the class and we wanted to read his blog. What if we weren’t intelligent enough to deduce he meant yours? Worse off, we could deduce that he DID mean yours, but spend the rest of the semester believing Brouse actually wrote it, meaning that you would never get the credit you so justly deserve.
Also, it’s just common courtesy. You can spell his name; why can’t he spell yours?
